Idyllic routes go from the hotel, into the local area and through the mesmerising Alps. The beautiful countryside surrounding Selva Val Gardena is characterised by nature in its purest form: Get close to and comfortable with nature – and experience it with all five senses – on a hike and see meadows in bloom, clear sprawling views and strange rock formations in the Dolomites in South Tyrol. The team at Hotel Oswald are happy to help you plan excursions, with hiking maps and various information available in the hotel.

Climbing

Climbing

The summits of the Dolomites, which surround Val Gardena, have been granted UNESCO World Heritage Site status and offered special protection. Climbers have the opportunity to see the beauty of these mountains with their own eyes. Whether you’re a fan of mountain climbing, sport climbing or bouldering, Val Gardena has everything you need for an extra special kind of climb. Alpine climbers are in for a real treat as they can climb the Langkofel with a mountain guide and explore other Alpine routes. Alongside the Langkofel, the Sass Rigais and the Furchetta will take you to heights of more than 3,000 metres.

Great routes that are chosen by the hotel owner, who is a keen mountain climber herself. She can give you all the tips and advice you need for your customised tours.
